“NC Flex and UNC System Benefits provide a variety of plans to meet the needs of you and your family. These benefits are available to permanent employees through payroll deduction.”

    There are three dental options available through MetLife: High, Classic, and Low.

    There are three vision options available through EyeMed: Enhanced, Basic, and Core Wellness.

    Voluntary Group Term Life Insurance, administered by Securian, pays a death benefit to your beneficiary/beneficiaries.

    Benefits amounts are based on multiples of salary.

    Administered by Securian, this voluntary program will pay a benefit if you suffer a loss or sustain certain disabling injuries while covered.

    The Accident Plan pays benefits for specific injuries and events resulting from a covered accident. This plan can help relieve some of the financial stress that results from an accidental injury.

    There are two accident plan options available through Voya Financial: Enhanced and Classic.

    The Critical Illness Plan pays a lump-sum payment when a covered person is diagnosed with a covered condition on or after the effective date of coverage.

    There are three critical illness benefit amount options available through Voya Financial: $15,000, $25,000, and $40,000.

    Premiums are based on the employee’s age and benefit amount chosen.

    The Cancer Plan helps pay for cancer-related expenses, as well as expenses related to 29 other diseases.

    There are three cancer plan options available through Allstate: Premium, High, and Low.

    NCFlex offers two types of Flexible Spending Accounts, administered by P&A, that allow employees to set aside pre-tax money for eligible out-of-pocket health care and dependent day care expenses.

    Choose an attorney from MetLife’s network of over 18,000 attorneys or use an attorney outside of the network and be reimbursed some of the cost.

    No waiting periods, no deductibles, and no claim forms when using a network attorney for a covered issue.

    Covered issues include:

    Money Matters – debt collection defense, identity theft defense, identity restoration, negotiations with creditors, tax audit representation

    Home & Real Estate – deeds, mortgages, refinancing a home, sale/purchase a home, tenant negotiations
