PHASES ONE AND TWO ARE REQUIRED

Below is the workflow with timelines for SHRA employee performance management.

THE MID-YEAR CHECK-IN is optional EXCEPT FOR THOSE THAT ARE at midpoint of the performance appraisal cycle:

(a) for all employees who received any rating of “Not Meeting Expectations” on their last annual performance appraisal;

(b) for all employees who have active disciplinary actions;

(c) for other employees, when the manager/supervisor finds it appropriate or necessary to perform an interim review; or

(d) if the Chancellor (or President, for UNC General Administration) decides to require interim reviews campus-wide.
