State 401(k) Plan – The Supplemental Retirement Income Plan of North Carolina was created in 1984 by the General Assembly to give University employees a tax-deferred investment program for retirement. North Carolina Deferred Compensation Plan (457) – Under this plan, income is sheltered from federal and state income tax.
